Working Principle of Decanter Centrifuge

The decanter centrifuge is a commonly used separation equipment, widely used in chemical, pharmaceutical, food and other industries. Separation effect: Under the action of high-speed rotation, the heavy phase (such as solid particles) will settle to the wall of the centrifuge to form a solid phase sediment layer; while the light phase (such as liquid) will move to the center of the centrifuge to form a liquid supernatant.

Discharge of materials: As the separation proceeds, the solid phase sediment layer will continue to thicken, while the liquid supernatant will continue to decrease. When the separation reaches a certain degree, the screw conveyor will discharge the solid phase sediment from the centrifuge, and discharge the liquid supernatant through the liquid outlet.

Control parameters: During the working process of the horizontal screw centrifuge, the separation effect and output can be controlled by adjusting the speed, feed speed, slag discharge speed and other parameters to meet different process requirements.
